Your Front Door
Happenings
Have you noticed how easy it is to live in the same place for years and still miss what is happening right outside your front door?
As we move through our next chapter, it can be tempting to settle into familiar routines.
There is comfort in knowing where everything is and how each day will unfold.
Yet sometimes that comfort can quietly narrow our world.

FIFA
I have found myself thinking about this during the FIFA World Cup celebrations here in Vancouver.
Now, I am certainly not a football fan.
I could not tell you the rules and I have no strong opinions about teams.
But the event has transformed the city around me.
Streets have changed, visitors have arrived from around the world and conversations everywhere seem to begin with football.

Life Unfolds
What struck me was not the sport itself but how much life was unfolding around me.
Local shops, public spaces, transport routes and even my sketchbook became part of the experience.
Simply paying attention helped me feel more connected to my community and the season I am living through.

Staying Relevant
I believe staying relevant is less about chasing every trend and more about remaining curious.
It is about noticing what is shaping your neighborhood, your town or your city.
Not because you have to be interested in everything, but rather because awareness keeps us engaged with life.
